John Cooper Varsity Girls Volleyball celebrates victory in first game of the season

The John Cooper School has released an update on athletics events for the week of August 12-18, 2024.

On 13 August the Girls volleyball The team played against Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy in Legacy and won 3-0.

Coach Courtney Hunnicutt said, “Our team has worked hard leading up to this season and it really showed in our first game. The players showed a lot of energy and team spirit and I am thrilled with their performance. It is just the beginning but I believe we have a lot to look forward to as the season progresses. Our focus now is to build on this strong start and continue to push ourselves to reach new heights.”

On 16 August University boys’ football The team competed in scrimmages (away) against both Fort Bend Christian Academy and Northside Lions Homeschool.

Coach Erik DeHaven said, “I am incredibly excited about what this season has in store for us. With a mix of talented new players and seasoned veterans returning to the field, we have the perfect blend of energy and experience. Our new players have already made a significant impact at practice, and our returning players are stepping up as leaders and bringing both skill and depth to our team. If we continue to work hard and stay focused, I believe we have the potential to make this a standout season.”
