Shelly Ruth Wells
Shelly Ruth Wells, 52, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Shelly was born March 27, 1972 in Milan, Missouri to Bob Rouse and Shirley (Verden) Speiser. On May 11, 2000, she married Bill Wells, who survives of the home. She is also survived by: two daughters, Kristel Lewis (Alex) of Columbia, Missouri and MaKayla Wells (Brenden) of Green Castle; grandchildren, Ayla Capps and Liam Walsh; brothers, Glen Rouse (Nancy) of Camdenton, Missouri and Danny Hocker of Brashear, Missouri; a dear friend who is considered a brother, Frankie Cuculich; and several nieces and nephews.
Shelly was preceded in death by her father Bob Rouse, her mother and stepfather Shirley and Gilbert Speiser, and her brother Bobby Sullivan.
Shelly grew up in Green Castle and graduated from Green City RI High School. She worked for a time at the Adair County Humane Society. Shelly enjoyed working in her flower beds and bird watching. She loved playing with her grandchildren.
A memorial service for Shelly will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. A wake will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be held one hour prior. Urn burial will be at a later date at Green Castle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Adair County Humane Society.
