BROOKLYN, MI –– The FireKeepers Casino 400 has no winner after one day of racing for the second year in a row.
Heavy and isolated rain prevented a finish at the Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, August 18th.
The fans in the stands only saw the NASCAR drivers do a few laps before rolling back to the pit lane and covering their vehicles.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., when the race was about to start, the first drops of rain fell.
After a two-hour delay, the cars took to the track and 51 laps were completed. However, after the first leg, it started to rain again and the end of the race was postponed until Monday at 11 a.m.
The remaining rounds will be broadcast on the USA Network.
