Delta Airlines flight attendant ‘unexpectedly’ hits passenger with loaded drinks cart

A Woman from Florida has a suit against Delta Air Lines, claiming that she was seriously injured if a Flight attendant hit her repeatedly with a Drinks trolley during a flight from Paris to new Yorkreports the NY Post.
Gail Hamilton, the passengerclaims she was sitting in an aisle seat on Delta Flight 263 on June 21, 2022, when the flight attendant “unexpectedly” struck her multiple times with a loaded cart, injuring her right shoulder. The incident occurred en route to John F. Kennedy International Airport.
In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, Hamilton accuses Delta and the unidentified flight attendant of negligence. She claims the airline failed to properly train its staff and ensure the safe operation of the beverage cart in the aircraft’s aisle. Hamilton is seeking unspecified damages for her injuries.
Neither Hamilton’s lawyer nor a Delta spokesman commented on the lawsuit.
This lawsuit is yet another recent legal battle that Delta has faced. Last week, the airline faced another lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Georgia for allegedly refusing to provide refunds following a major technical outage caused by a CrowdStrike issue. The outage, which occurred last month, resulted in the cancellation of hundreds of flights across the United States.
In another incident, a Delta flight was forced to make an emergency landing at JFK airport after passengers were served contaminated food. The flight from Detroit to Amsterdam was diverted after several passengers became ill due to tainted meals. After landing, 12 passengers were treated by medical staff. The total number of passengers affected is still unclear.
A passenger named Virginia took to social media to vent her frustration, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “Delta, I need to know how you are going to get me to Amsterdam today. I am on the plane making an emergency landing at JFK because you served passengers ‘contaminated’ food. I do not need hotel/meal vouchers, I need to get to Amsterdam today.”
