KAMALA Harris has revealed what delicious snack she ate when Donald Trump won the presidential election in 2016.

Harris sent out a fundraising email describing her reaction to Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, with the subject line “A giant bag of Doritos.”

“Remember the day after Donald Trump was elected?” Harris and her campaign team said in the email.

“I do. It was election night for me too. It was incredibly bittersweet.

“When I took the stage to give my acceptance speech – to represent California in the Senate – I ripped up my notes. I just said, ‘We’re going to fight.’

“Then I went home and sat on the couch with a family pack of Nacho Doritos.

“I didn’t share a single chip with anyone. Not even Doug (Harris’ husband). I just sat there watching TV in utter shock and dismay.”

The Democratic candidate then joked that she still loves Doritos and has not stopped fighting for them.

Fans stormed social media to comment on Harris’ reaction to Trump’s victory.

REACTION TO KAMALA’S REVELATION

“She’s just like us,” one fan wrote to X.

“We all have! It’s so understandable,” claimed a second.

“That was the best night ever,” commented a third.

“So for this pick I recommend cool ranch doritos…enjoy the shock and amazement!!!!” said a fourth fan.

“I wish I had a whole bag of Doritos to eat by myself. I just cried,” wrote a fifth.

Fox presenter Elisabeth Hasselbach also commented on the Democratic candidates’ reaction to Trump’s 2016 presidential election.

“This is possibly the commander in chief. This is the emotional reaction of the leader of the free world, namely to stuff a bag of Doritos into himself,” Hasselbach criticized.

Kamala’s legal background

Kamala’s legal and political background spans decades.

Kamala Harris began her career as a district attorney in San Francisco in 1998 when District Attorney Terence Hallin recruited her. Since then, she has faced several controversial cases.

In 2004, Harris was involved in the shooting death of officer Isaac Espinoza. The 29-year-old San Francisco cop was riding in his unmarked vehicle with his partner when he flashed his headlights at a man named David Hill, Calm Matters reported.

Hill fired several shots from his AK-47 at the officers, killing Espinoza. When Hill was charged, Harris refused to sentence him to death, a decision for which she faced heavy criticism. Harris’ decision to oppose the death penalty immediately made her appear as an anti-police prosecutor.

Since this case, Harris has positioned herself as a “progressive prosecutor.” However, many on the left accuse her of being too tough.

“I don’t know what Harris could do to regain the trust of those who know full well how she – like every other prosecutor – has put people in prison and built her career on being tough on crime,” Wanda Bertram, communications strategist at the Prison Policy Initiative, told Vox.

“Is this a joke?” asked Hasselbach.

The Fox host then compared other world leaders to Harris, saying she doubts they deal with problems by binge-eating.

Harris became the Democratic candidate after securing enough delegates on August 5.

This came after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on July 21 following a Covid-19 infection and weeks after a poor debate with Trump.

Presidential election campaign continues

Since becoming the Democratic nominee, Harris has raised a significant amount of money alongside her vice presidential running mate, Tim Walz.

Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign announced that it had raised $36 million within 24 hours of announcing the Minnesota governor as her vice presidential running mate.

Harris and Walz will continue campaigning in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Sunday, while Trump will hold a rally in Wilkes-Barre, PA on Saturday.

The Democratic candidate has a busy week ahead of him, as the Democratic National Convention is scheduled to take place August 19-22 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Harris and Trump will face off in a presidential debate on September 10 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The debate will air at 9 p.m. and will be moderated by ABC News anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis.

The network announced that viewers will be able to watch the matchup on ABC, ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.
