Video review of Singapore Airlines First Class goes viral

You can’t have nice things.

Viewers were stunned after a TikToker with a travel background posted a detailed account of his experience as a passenger in a first class suite – widely considered one of the most luxurious in the skies and as large as some studio apartments in New York.

A frequent flyer from Cambodia who goes by the name Pitor on the popular social media app apparently managed to shock a significant portion of the more than 46 million viewers of a video that offered an exclusive glimpse into the in-flight service of a Singapore Airlines A380, The Independent reported.

From the personal company to his spacious private hideaway to the generous food and drink service and of course the reclining bed, which is perfect for the often quite long flights from Singapore to and from the home port in Southeast Asia, the spectators were amazed.

“I wouldn’t know what to do,” admitted one commenter. “I would try to help the flight crew or say exaggerated words of thanks every five seconds.”

“I feel the same way. And I feel like I order too much even though I can order unlimited amounts of anything I want,” said another after observing the obsequious and omnipresent service.

“This is your place. You mean my apartment,” one follower shared with wide eyes.

“Seat or suite?” joked another.

First class accommodations in Singapore offer up to 4.6 square metres per person, depending on the seat booked – roughly the size of at least one studio apartment in Manhattan that will be on the market in 2024.

Unlike in New York, where budget-conscious renters can snag such a spot for about $1,200 a month, passengers on a tight budget can expect to pay $21,000 or more for a round-trip flight in September — for the 21-hour, 55-minute trip from New York to the far-flung city-state — which includes a fuel stop in Frankfurt, Germany.

“Who says money can’t buy happiness,” said one wistful spectator.

“You didn’t book the right flights,” another replied jokingly.
