Bizarre new game from Silent Hill creator introduces his story

Bokeh Game Studios has released a brand new trailer for Slotted headan upcoming game from the creator of Silent Hill, Toyama, Japan. Slotted head is one of the most eagerly awaited horror releases of this year. Slotted head also includes music by Akira Yamaoka, a composer who worked on the silent Hill franchise and features grotesque monster designs that wouldn’t be out of place in Konami’s horror games.




Slotted head received a major trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2024, giving horror fans a glimpse into the primary game mechanic, in which victims are possessed as a supernatural spirit named Hyoki. Bokeh Game Studios has now released a new cinematic trailer, which focuses on Slotted headand gives an insight into the themes and characters of this story.

The upcoming horror game Slitterhead looks very promising, but should avoid the trap that a similar game, Ghostwire Tokyo, fell victim to.

The trailer begins with a dark song showcasing the streets of Kowlong, along with some short clips of the characters players will own. Slotted head‘s protagonist. These include a young woman in a red hoodie and a biker who was featured prominently in Slotted head‘s previous trailer and box art. Other characters, such as a young man with glasses, a brother and sister, and a martial artist, were introduced in this trailer as possible targets of possession. The trailer then switches to more action-packed sequences, such as monsters randomly attacking civilians, another character being arrested by the police, and a vision of a burning city.

Slotted head shows how the possession mechanics affect the characters in the story as well, with Hyoki, for example, giving the characters enhanced agility and making them grow claws from their fingers that they can use to fend off the monsters attacking Kowlong. The trailer also shows interpersonal drama between the characters they possessed, though this is conveyed without voice acting or dialogue. The trailer mysteriously ends when one of the characters Hyoki possessed wakes up and the clock is reset to two days, likely as a result of the possession loop.


Slotted head starts within one month after the Silent Hill 2 The remake’s own launch is likely to be an interesting topic of discussion among fans due to the proximity of the release dates and the shared creative DNA. Slotted head is a brand new IP from one of the silent Hilloriginal creator, while the Silent Hill 2 The remake is created by Bloober Team and published by Konami.
