But when the crowd zigs, Joel Klatt zigs. That might be why the Fox Sports college football commentator called the Buffaloes an underdog candidate to win the Big 12.
“I’d be crazy not to see Colorado as a surprise contender for the Big 12,” Klatt said. “They’re really talented. They have maybe the best quarterback in the entire league and their skill position players are insanely talented.”
“I think this team has eight or nine wins, which puts them in the conversation in a quality league for a possible run to the Big 12 Championship game,” Klatt continued. “If they can keep Shedeur Sanders upright and he can throw to some of these players like Travis Hunter, watch out! Colorado is going to win a lot of games!”

“(Colorado football) has a rough patch to start with: North Dakota State and Nebraska,” Klatt concluded. “If they win both games, watch out, because guess what? It’s going to be like 2023 all over again. That hype train is going to come barreling down the tracks, and I could ride it!”
