Photos of the Week, August 3-9 – Deseret News

Deseret News photojournalists have been busy this month covering a variety of news and sports stories, including several back-to-school events, the execution of a death row inmate and the Greater Utah Young Single Adults Conference 2024.

Earlier this month, wildfires to the west filled the valley with smoke. Utah’s foothills were dangerously dry for fire conditions and local firefighters were sent to California to help with park fires.
