Hinds have released a dreamy new single today (August 16) – listen to ‘The Bed, The Room, The Rain And You’ below.
The Madrid-based indie duo – consisting of Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote – have released another taste of their upcoming new album “VIVA HINDS” with their latest single. It follows previously released tracks such as “Boom Boom Back”, which featured Beck, as well as “Coffee”, “En Forma” and “Superstar”.
The two said of the new song: “It’s a love song that’s not about being with the other person or whether the feelings are reciprocated. We’re talking about the simplest version of that. Love is like a magical safe space that you can take with you anywhere.”
Of the new track’s music video, they added: “We started this adventure of directing all the music videos for this album with a bag full of imagination and dreams: the friends, the motorcycles, the dancing, a store that never existed, Beck’s bodyguards and ice cream, Hollywood and surrealism and tiny houses.”
“We wanted to take you very slowly and draw your attention to what we really do: music. For ‘The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You’ we wanted to end the story where it all began: recording the album.”

“VIVA HINDS” was written by Cosials and Perrote. The LP contains the band’s first Spanish-language songs as well as collaborations by Beck and Grian Chatten of Fontaines DC.
“VIVA HINDS” is named after the reaction of fans in 2015 when they had to change their name from “Deers” to “Hinds” due to a legal threat from a similarly hot band.
The album was produced by Pete Robertson (Beabadoobee), engineered by Grammy-nominated Tom Roach, and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Caesar Edmunds (The Killers, Wet Leg).

In other news, Hinds announced the departure of bassist Ade Martín and drummer Amber Grimbergen last year, sharing in an Instagram post: “You may be as heartbroken as we are, but thankfully music has the power to heal a hurting soul,” they wrote.
“We’ve been through something very painful, but we’re going to keep going: we believe in Hinds more than anything in the world. If you’re in, we’re in.”
