UNITED WAY LAUNCHES THE 2024 CAMPAIGN TODAY

United Way’s 2024 fundraiser kicks off today with a carnival event in downtown Indiana.

This year’s kickoff event begins at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon in the S&T Bank parking lot across from the Indiana Borough Building at the corner of Eighth and Water Streets and will be a carnival for all ages. The event will include carnival games, food trucks, balloon art and side acts by the Iron City Circus, all leading up to the announcement of the goal for this year’s fundraiser and a performance by the band McFly and the Time Machine. There will also be a basket raffle where people can buy their chance at prizes.

2024 campaign chairman Clinton Smith said (in an interview on Indiana in the Morning) that this year’s theme is “Reaching Greater Heights” because he has set a lofty goal for his campaign, and while he didn’t give a specific amount, he said it would be high.
