Canadian Airlines WestJet and Air Transat are increasing their presence in Puerto Vallarta for the coming winter season, a clear sign of the growing demand for this Mexican destination.

WestJet will increase flight frequency from Winnipeg to Puerto Vallarta by a significant 17%, offering a maximum of seven weekly connections between December and April.

To accommodate the increased passenger numbers, the airline will also deploy larger aircraft on several routes, increasing overall seating capacity by 5%. Canadians from coast to coast will have access to Puerto Vallarta, with WestJet offering flights from 12 cities across the country.

Air Transat

Air Transat is joining the expansion effort with an additional weekly flight from Montreal to Puerto Vallarta during peak season. Travelers from other Canadian cities can also fly to Puerto Vallarta via Montreal through Air Transat’s partnership with Porter Airlines.

“These developments underscore Puerto Vallarta’s continued appeal as a top winter destination for Canadians,” said Luis Villasenor, executive director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust. “As airlines invest in expanded service to the region, visitors can expect more options and competitive fares.”
