Music icon/actress Brandy returns to the horror genre with new film 2024 The front roomanother tempting entry from the popular production company A24.
A24 has become a signal to film fans that something unique is on the way, even in the horror genre, as the company is behind recent horror hits such as The Witch, Hereditary, Midsummer, X, lamb And Talk to me. The front room is one of many A24 films coming out in 2024, a list that already includes Love lies bleeding, Civil War And Tuesday.

Release date of The Front Room
The front room will premiere exclusively in US theaters on September 6. A UK release date for the film has not yet been announced.
The film shares its release date with a more comedic take on horror, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice The premiere is also scheduled for September 6th.
The cast of “The Front Room”
Brandy Norwood, better known as Brandy, plays the lead role in The front room as Belinda. Brandy had her first breakthrough as a singer, but she also tried her hand at acting with leading roles in the television film of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, I still remember what you did last summer and the television series Moesha. Most recently she played in the television series star And Queensand the Netflix Christmas film The best Christmas ever!
In addition to Brandy in The front room are Andrew Burnap (Under the banner of heaven, We crashed), Neal Huff (A murder at the end of the worldmare by Easttown) and Kathryn Hunter (The poor, Andor).
The plot of The Front Room
Based on a short story by Susan Hill, Max and Sam Eggers wrote the screenplay for The front room. Here is the official summary:
“For newly pregnant Belinda (Brandy), everything goes wrong after her mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. When the evil guest tries to get the child in his claws, Belinda has to draw the line somewhere…”

The directors of “The Front Room”
The twins Max and Sam Eggers not only write the script, but also direct The front room. Although this is their first film as directors, their name will be familiar to many film fans as they are the half-siblings of acclaimed director Robert Eggers. Max previously worked with Robert as co-writer on the film The lighthousewhile Sam’s biggest work to date was working on the documentary Olympics about Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis.
