CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A local couple is celebrating the gift of life thanks to a neighbor.
It all started a few years ago with a poster for Linda McGrane. She had friends who owned the company that put up the poster.
And it made a huge difference to change Linda’s life by spreading this message.
Local 12 reported on the billboard campaign while Linda was in the hospital needing a living kidney donor.
Her husband Bill was by her side. “It’s really hard to see your wife go through that.”
Linda finally got this kidney transplant
and they recently returned to give a special thank you to their donor on our show “What’s Happening in Health” (Sundays from 6 to 7 a.m. on Local 12).
“The Lord brought Michael Noice from Tennessee to Cincinnati,” Linda said.
Recently, they celebrated Noice’s gift to Linda with a huge cake at Jeff Ruby’s restaurant.
When they met, he was actually a new neighbor who felt called to give the gift of life.
One of the reasons Linda and Bill wanted to tell this story is to give a message of hope to the thousands waiting for a transplant.
They say that miracles actually do happen.
“They do, they definitely do, and you just have to stay and stand firm and believe and proclaim that the perfect person for you will come along, because they will.”
The McGranes also want to raise awareness of the need for living kidney donors.
