You won’t recognize the temps at the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market this January

After a record-breaking summer market, Dallas Market Center is making a number of changes ahead of Temps at Total Home & Gift Market, scheduled for Jan. 8-11, 2025. The reimagined show will create “new, inspiring destinations for shoppers and more space for growth categories,” according to a market press release.

“A key reason more shoppers are choosing Dallas is our display of new products, as well as our convenience, customer service and safety,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Retailers want trendy and unique items, and that starts with the temps. That’s why redesigning parts of the show and updating exhibitors’ presentation will help drive even more traffic to the temps and give exhibitors the opportunity to reach the shoppers who visit our markets.”

The most important changes include:

  • The 11th floor of the World Trade Center will be the new address for ordering apparel, jewelry and fashion accessories. In addition, a curated collection of high-end fashion and accessory lines will be presented in a new collection, boutique, on the 11th floor.
  • The Trade Mart 1 Pavilion will expand its number of temporary booths and exclusively offer a juried selection of exhibitors in fine gifts, home accessories and table décor. In addition to presenting a larger, curated offering, the floor plan will also be redesigned to “provide greater visibility in the aisles and increased traffic flow.”
  • The 12th floor of the World Trade Center will continue to be the market’s largest collection of new and emerging exhibitors, trending products and unique finds, including gifts, body and wellness products, gourmet products, seasonal and outdoor items, home accessories, gifts for men, handmade items, and t-shirts and resorts.
  • The Market Hall will continue to be the go-to place for instant items such as arts and crafts, gifts and jewellery, fine jewellery as well as homewares, vintage and antique items. The selection of goods in the Market Hall will also be available for orders and cash purchases.

“Our goals are simple: to grow the show and support our exhibitor community with active and inspiring destinations,” said Jo Ann Miller Marshall, senior vice president of tradeshows. “January Temps will be a meaningful leap forward in merchandising, a show that is easy to manage, and destinations with fantastic merchandise, high energy and high traffic.”

In January, the Temps program will be supported by marketing and events that promote the new and old neighborhoods, as well as the trends and stories behind the products. Additionally, the Temps program will be supported by an onboarding program that includes a series of free webinars with trade show and retail expert Michele Doty, who will share practical advice on how to successfully build a business in the Temps program in Dallas.
