CBS announces commentator lineup ahead of first full season of Big Ten football

CBS is making a complete switch from the SEC to the Big Ten this football season and now fans know who will be commentating on the games.

CBS Sports announced its lineup of game and studio commentators for the 2024 college football season on Monday. Matches are planned for CBS, Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network.

Brad Nessler, Gary DanielsonAnd Jenny Dell will return as lead commentary team to cover the first full season of Big Ten games on CBS in the network’s traditional 3:30 p.m. window.

They will open the season on August 31 with the Akron-Ohio State game and provide weekly commentary until the Big Ten Championship, which will air in prime time on December 7.

Iowa State vs. Iowa on September 7, Notre Dame vs. Purdue on September 14, and USC vs. Michigan on September 21 are other matchups announced for the transfer window.

Live commentator Rich Waltz will work with analysts Ross Tucker and sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon in select Mountain West and Military Academies games broadcast on CBS, beginning with UCLA-Hawaii on August 31.

Tom McCarthy,Jay Feely and Blackmon will be on the phone for Minnesota-Wisconsin on Nov. 29.

CBS Sports Network will welcome two new additions to its roster this season, including former Rutgers All-American cornerback Logan Ryan and two-time All-American and former Boston College linebacker Lukas Küchly.

Robert Turbin will serve as the CBS Sports Network main game analyst on Saturdays and will be supported primarily by Waltz throughout the season, along with sideline reporter Amanda Guerra.

The team will begin its season on August 24th with a call from SMU-Nevada.

Returning announcers on CBS Sports Network this season include:

  • Move by move: waltz, Jordan Kent, Dave Ryan, Carter Blackburn, Chris Lewis, Alex Del Barrio, Johannes Sadak And Jason Knapp
  • Analysts: Tucker, Turbin, Randy Cross, Taylor McHargue, Adam Breneman, Donte Whitner, Brock Vereen
  • Rapporteurs: Blackmon, Guerra, Tina Cervasio, Keiana Martin, Sheehan Stanwick Burch, Emily Stolz, Brandon Baylor.

Aaron Taylor will participate in CBS Sports’ pregame show “College Football Today” and Adam Zucker, Brian Jones And Rick Neuheisel.

Brent Stover will host CBS Sports Network’s live studio coverage on Saturdays and will be accompanied by analysts Kevin Cartertogether with a second rotating analyst from Cardale Jones or Beanie Wells.
