Aircraft charter specialist Smart Aviation has announced an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) charter partnership between Air Arabia Maroc and charter airline Getjet Airlines.
Smart Aviation reports that Air Arabia Maroc, the largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, recently contacted them for assistance after an aircraft was delivered late. After negotiations, Smart Aviation secured a Latvian-registered Airbus A320 from GetJet Airlines. On August 1, the first charter flight of the ACMI operation departed from Riga.
ACMI operations will continue until the delivery of the aircraft, which will join Air Arabia Maroc’s fleet. Smart Aviation says it will work closely with all partners to ensure ongoing availability and operations.
