Jordan Love starts preseason strong with longball touchdown

CLEVELAND – Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love stayed calm and completed a 65-yard touchdown pass on his second throw of the preseason.

Love was in the starting lineup for the Green Bay Packers’ first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.

After helping Green Bay take the lead in the opening minutes, Love watched the rest of the game from the sidelines.

Backup quarterbacks Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt took the reins in the home stretch.

The Packers only managed to reach the end zone one more time when Emanuel Wilson penetrated from five yards out.

Three field goals in the second and third quarters helped Green Bay to a 23-10 away win at the start of the preseason.

The Packers will head to the Mile High City to face the Denver Broncos in their next game on Sunday, August 18.
