Emily Ratajkowski is the latest celebrity to face the wrath of online mom-shamers.
The 30-year-old was branded “reckless” after sharing new photos of herself holding her three-month-old son on social media.
“Birthday night with the dream vacation partner,” the star captioned the photo for her more than 27.6 million followers on Instagram.

While Ratajkowski looked stunning in a matching blue and orange swimsuit with her son Sylvester, her fans were much more distracted by her “dangerous” baby-cradling technique.
After receiving criticism for her photos, Ratajkoski decided to disable comments on the post. However, discussion about the star’s latest photos shifted to Twitter, where the mom-shaming attacks continued.
“Not to the mom police, but the way Emily Ratajkowski is holding her baby in this one picture is scary,” another wrote.
“She’s holding the poor baby like it’s her handbag,” someone said tweetedwhile another added: “The truth is she cares more about showing off her body than what the baby looks like.”

“Emily Ratajkowski for The cut: Why holding my baby like a sack of potatoes is a radical demonstration of women’s power and agency in business,” said one person joked.

“Why is @emrata holding living creatures, including a baby, as if she had extra groceries under her arm?” asked another added.
Hey @emrata are the comments on your last Insta post disabled because you know you are holding your baby dangerously and don’t want people to talk about it? 🤔🤔🤔

“The way Emily Ratajkowski is representing the baby should result in an immediate visit from Child Protective Services (CPS),” one person said rang out.
The photo caught the attention of Piers Morgan, who offered to give the model mom some parenting tips.
“That’s no way to hold a baby @emrata and your millions of followers should not be encouraged to do the same,” Morgan said wrote. “I’m happy to give you some tips if you need them.”

Despite the criticism, many people rallied around Ratajkowski on the Internet and defended the young mother against online trolls.
“Wow, the comments here are shocking! (I) shame trolls, and he up there is one of them!” one person wrote to Morgan. “Nobody knows a damn thing about that girl personally, who cares what she looks like and how she holds the baby! She’s human, leave her alone, and life as a mother isn’t perfect either! You should be ashamed of yourself, tt!”
“Emily Ratajkowski keeps them baby a little weird in a photo and suddenly all her followers are pediatricians,” fired another back.

Ratajkowski welcomed her first child with husband Sebastian Bear-McClard on March 8. The model and actress has since posted plenty of candid social media posts, keeping her fans updated on her journey and her adjustment to motherhood.
At the end of March, she shared a censored photo of herself breastfeeding with the caption “Beautiful boy.” Unfortunately, her post was met with criticism from her followers, who did not feel it was necessary to share such an intimate moment on social media.
In April, she responded to the negative reactions by sharing a series of breastfeeding photos with the caption, “If it seems like I’m always breastfeeding, that’s because I am.”
