The Cyclones are secret favorites for the Big 12 title, but they face many challenges along the way. This game in Lawrence is one of three consecutive road challenges for them, with road games at West Virginia and Utah on either side of this game. Iowa State’s defense will be put to the test by Kansas.

Utah Utes vs. Colorado Buffaloes

College football would love to see Coach Prime and his Buffaloes battling at or near the top of the standings in this game. Boulder will be interesting to watch in mid-November when the Utes come to town. These two teams are former Pac-12 rivals.

Arizona Wildcats at Kansas State Wildcats

This will be the “Welcome to the Big 12” game for Arizona. The Wildcats from the West won nine games last season. They are going through big changes but are still talented. The winner of this game will take a nice step forward when the conference season begins.

A fairly early game featuring two of the best teams in the league. Ollie Gordon will get his Heisman opportunity at home as they face a talented Utah Utes team. Stillwater is sure to give Utah a rude reception in the Big 12 when these two teams face off.
