Twinkle Khanna calls herself Mrs. Funnybone and there is no doubt about it. Not only she, but her husband and actor Akshay Kumar is also the undisputed ‘King of Comedy’. The author revealed in her latest column for Times of India how she once told Akshay to eat poisonous grass if she dies and his reaction is unmistakable.
The 50-year-old recounted an incident from the couple’s vacation when they were on their way back to their camp. Twinkle and Akshay’s guide happened to point out to them a particular species of bird called ‘Tik-Tik’ which displays an innate behavior of devotion towards its partner and when one dies, the other kills itself by eating poisonous grass.
Hearing this, Twinkle quickly said to Akshay Kumar, “Ah, if I die first, you too better eat poisonous grass. If I see your second wife walking around with my handbags, I promise I will come and haunt you both.” The Sarfira actor did not miss an opportunity to poke fun and said in his reply, “I want to eat this poisonous grass right now, then at least I don’t have to listen to all this nonsense.”

Twinkle, who had a brief and unsuccessful foray into show business, recently completed her Masters in Fiction from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her first non-fiction book, Mrs Funnybones, was published in 2015, followed by the publication of The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, a collection of short stories.
