Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out StoryFilming for “The 40 Years of Crime,” the third film in the crime series, has been completed, creator Rian Johnson announced.
The filmmaker celebrated the end of filming and announced the good news in a social media post on X.
“Aaaand that’s it Wake up, dead man. It went so fast! Great crew, incredible cast, it was a really special shoot and I can’t wait to put it all together,” Johnson said of the film, in which Daniel Craig reprises his role as Benoit Blanc.
Johnson also shared a photo of a sign that read, “Please respect graves.”
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Crime Mystery The release is planned for 2025, but the exact date has not yet been announced.
Craig returns to his role and joins Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close and Thomas Haden Church in the cast of the third installment.
Johnson began filming the movie in June and made a similar announcement to “X.”
“Aaaand here we go! Today is the first day of filming for the next Benoit Blanc crime thriller, Wake Up Dead Man – see you on the other side,” Johnson shared in a June 10 post on X.
