A boy who was in the hospital for over a month finally had a reason to smile. The Little Wishes organization made sure this little boy got everything he wanted for his birthday. Watch his adorable reaction to his wonderful birthday surprise.
Little Wishes makes dreams come true
Good morning America told the heartwarming story of how Asher got his birthday wish. Unfortunately, Asher was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia and was in the hospital for 38 days. All he wanted for his birthday was some gardening tools so he could work in the garden like his dad.
The Little Wishes organization surprised him with all the gardening tools he had asked for. Employees came in with tools that looked like a mini chainsaw, a brush cutter, and a lawn mower. Asher was excited as he picked up the lawn mower and began pushing it around the room.
Now he could look just like his dad while doing gardening. But that wasn’t his biggest birthday surprise. After that incredible gift, Asher got an even better birthday present.
Asher’s greatest wish comes true
Not only did Asher get tools like his father, but he also got to use them with him. Asher got to go home on his birthday! After 38 long days, he was finally able to go home! Now he can help his father in the garden like he always dreamed of.
There is a lot we can learn from Asher’s story. First, kindness and love can go a long way and we should spread it as far as possible. Second, sometimes the simplest things in life are the best.
