Here’s everything we know about Queen Camilla’s media-shy daughter.
Laura Lopes had a privileged childhood
Laura Rose Parker Bowles was born in 1978 to Camilla and Andrew, a retired British Army officer.
She reportedly spent her childhood at Bolehyde Manor, an eight-bedroom country house in Wiltshire with a swimming pool, tennis courts and 70 acres (28.3 hectares) of land.
She attended St. Mary’s Shaftesbury, a Catholic girls’ boarding school. The school closed in 2020, but parents reportedly paid £12,300 ($15,840) in boarding fees per year.
She married a Calvin Klein model
In 2006, Laura and Harry Lopes, a former Calvin Klein model and current accountant, married in Wiltshire.
Harry is the grandson of Massey Henry Lopes, second Baron Roborough, and is set to inherit Gnaton Hall in Devon and Skelpick Estate in the Scottish Highlands.
Harry is not only the grandson of a baron, but is also related to the Astor family, one of the richest families in America.
The couple has three children together: 15-year-old daughter Eliza and twin sons Gus and Louis, 14 years old.
She had a problematic relationship with her royal stepbrothers, Princes William and Harry
Accordingly William and Harry: Behind the palace wallsAccording to a 2010 book by author and journalist Katie Nicholl, Prince William and Lopes regularly argued about their parents when King Charles and Queen Camilla married in 2005.
“William blamed Camilla for all the pain she had caused his mother, and Laura flew into a rage. Laura would have none of it. She went on the offensive, firing back at William: ‘Your father ruined my life,'” Nicholl wrote in her book.
However, it seems that the step-siblings have since reconciled their relationship, as Lopes’ daughter Eliza was William and Kate’s flower girl at their wedding in 2011.
She is an art curator
Lopes enrolled at Oxford Brookes University, where she studied art history and marketing.
She currently works as an art curator.
