Coal chamber has postponed her upcoming tour with Fear Factory, TwiztidAnd Black Satellite to spring. Singer Dec Fafara shared that medical issues he is currently battling have made it impossible for him to continue the tour as originally planned. Fafara has previously mentioned his long battle with contracting COVID-19 and mentioned that it hindered his ability to travel.
Last November, the coal chamber have cancelled their performance in Mexico at the Heaven & Hell Open Air due to “forced not to board the plane” due to “https://lambgoat.com/news/43710/coal-chamber-postpone-tour-due-to-dez-farara-medical-issue-john-boecklin-calls-out-dez-for-faking/ due to the festival’s poor logistics”.
Fafara’s statement was:
With a heavy heart, let me tell you a story about a turning point in life. I am writing to you from my bed.
I’ve been running 6 miles every day, rehearsing in my home studio for two hours every day, and I’m excited to get on tour. I’m excited to get on a bus with my brothers and sister and crew. I’ve never felt better and as you all know, I’ve fought back hard after Covid tried to kill me in the long run.
Saturday morning I woke up and walked up the stairs. I saw flashes in my eyes. I passed out and my wife gave me CPR. My vitals were through the roof, I was white as a sheet and vomiting, and the whole world was spinning. Anahstasia called 911. I ended up in the back of an ambulance and spent nine hours in the ER having all my vitals tested, including heart and lung x-rays. My doctor has recommended a CT scan and until further tests are done I will have to stay on bed rest and postpone the tour. Our agent immediately jumped into action to rebook this tour for March 2025 until we can figure out what the heck is going on medically.
See you in March 2025 on the Fiend For The Fans Tour. This tour postponement is surreal, I was looking forward to playing with my band and connecting with fans, friends and family along the way.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their overwhelming love and all the calls and texts checking in on me. It seems like the word has spread and since Sunday I’ve had the whole industry calling me; musicians, agents and managers and I really appreciate it.
My band was very understanding and called me every hour. I am eternally grateful to them for their caring nature.
Kiss your loved ones, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. I will fight back to be on stage with you all, you can count on that too. I will keep you all updated on my socials about what is going on. Sorry if this news means you have to change your dates to attend the concert with us and I want to thank you in advance. We are all really in the dark and I look forward to finding out what is going on. HAIL

But former Devil Driver drummer Johannes Böcklin (2002–2014) addressed Fafara on Instagram, claiming that the singer was canceling performances due to low ticket sales and not because of illness.
The message read:
Hey @dezfafara Just read your liner notes on the VINYL release of “The RECORDS I FUCKING WROTE”. It’s about you threatening to drown and kill me and that’s when I finally realized you were someone to be feared and I had to submit. Your rich private school kid from Laguna Beach told me you grew up under a bridge. It’s in print you fucking loser. Lies are in print. Are you going to be revived by Anastasia in the Jaguar or in your hot tub? Faking lies to get low ticket sales has got to be a real low. Yes everyone knows you lie.
