Draymond Green criticized Steve Kerr’s rotation in the Olympic semifinal against Serbia

The United States got off to a slow start in its semifinal match against Serbia at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday, trailing throughout the first half and into the fourth quarter. Stephen Curry led the team with a magnificent comeback to put the Americans in the gold medal game, where they will now face France.

Steve Kerr’s rotations were viewed critically by fans throughout the game, with key players like Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum playing questionably little in the first half as Serbia extended its lead.

Among those confused by Kerr’s decisions during Thursday’s game was one of his own players. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green publicly criticized Kerr’s rotations and asked in a series of posts on X why Durant wasn’t seen on the court more often.

“Would love to see KD in the game now,” Green wrote in a post before voicing some criticism of Kerr’s coaching.

“Sometimes you have to give up those rotations,” Green said in another post.

At this point in the game, Team USA was trailing by more than 10 points and allowing too many open threes while making too few of their own. Green, who made comments about X throughout the game, was frustrated with Kerr’s decision to keep Durant on the bench and stick to his rotations.

Ultimately, the USA managed to catch up and win, although Green’s criticism of Kerr’s rotations did not go unnoticed.
