How The CrowThere is not exactly a big fuss about Hellboy – The Cursed ManWith only Deadpool and Wolverine And Joker: Foil for Two With new superheroes coming from Marvel and DC this year, 2024 is a good opportunity for the lesser-known characters to pique the interest of superhero fans.

Unfortunately, neither of them looks particularly good if the trailers are to be believed, and the chances are very slim. The Crooked ManGuillermo del Toro’s films remain popular and the failed 2019 reboot has already raises the question of whether Hellboy can work on screen.

In an interview with Full filmDirector Brian Taylor (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) made it clear that he does not seek to repeat what happened before.

“I don’t think it’s a reboot or that we’re trying to start a new franchise – this isn’t about content, this is about a film that has to stand on its own.” explains the filmmaker. “Nobody wants to see a cheap copy of a $100 million Guillermo del Toro movie. This is a return to the young Hellboy, where he was more of the plumber who solves your monster problem.”

“This wandering, sarcastic, soulful, smoking guy who stumbles upon supernatural hauntings and events and helps as best he can,” adds Taylor. “If Mike (Mignola) feels like he’s seeing his man on screen for the first time, then I think we’ve succeeded.”

The site also met lead actor Jack Kesy. Deadpool 2 Actor transforms into Big Red for Hellboy – The Cursed Man and has accepted the pressure to follow in the footsteps of Ron Perlman and David Harbour as a cult figure.

“You know what, I love a good challenge, I always have, so I was excited to take it on,“, said Kesy. “Everyone, the fans, the haters, whoever, brings it. You know it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. You always get the chance to play people who are like you, but when do you get the chance to play iconic characters with full prosthetics? The excitement surpassed everything.”

He added: “(I was) definitely not a comic book guy, but I definitely learned on the job and fans would immediately reach out to me and tell me things about comics that I didn’t know.”

“I love the Hellboy fans. I’ve known them for over a year now, I still write back to them, mostly through social media, and they send me little facts and little photos and just little things that I might have missed. I love them.”
