A Clare craft brewery is preparing to celebrate its ninth anniversary later this month with a night of nature, music and food.
Amy Shindorf, owner of Four Leaf Brewing, and her staff thank the community for their support and will be closed on August 29th to celebrate the anniversary and the people who have contributed to the brewery’s success.
A ninth-anniversary “Brews and Blooms Bash” is planned for August 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oakbrook West Farms, 9460 Haley Road in Clare.
Tickets are available for $50 and participants must be at least 21 to attend the evening of craft beer, flower picking, food and support of the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, Shindorf said.
A total of 60 tickets are available and can be purchased on the Four Leaf Brewing website at https://www.fourleafbrewing.com/9thbdaybash.
There will be a curated selection of craft beers, ciders and wines from Four Leaf Brewing, including the exclusive 9th Anniversary brew. There will also be wood-fired pizza, a professional photographer on hand to shoot, dancing to live music and informative exhibits about the CWC and its mission.
Participants can also stroll through the flower fields at Oakbrook West Farms and create personalized bouquets to take home.
As the event takes place in a natural landscape with rolling hills and grassy areas, it could be challenging for those with limited mobility. Shindorf apologized for any inconvenience and pointed out that visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the festival site is uneven.
Shindorf also said there are a limited number of designated, accessible viewing areas and that the farm is home to bees – important pollinators – so anyone with a bee allergy should take necessary precautions.
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone in attendance, alcohol consumption is limited to two drinks per person and, for the well-being and safety of guests, no pets are allowed, Shindorf said.
