Steph Curry produced the most iconic photos of the Olympic basketball games during the USA’s victory over Serbia

The legend of Team USA star Steph Curry was born this summer.

In Thursday’s 95-91 semifinal win over Serbia, Curry helped the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team to an epic comeback victory and gave the world some truly iconic, picture-perfect moments in the process.

Curry’s animated postgame celebration with teammate LeBron James during the instant Olympic classic already made for a photo worthy of hanging in the Louvre, but Curry’s dominance in the game was perhaps even better characterized by this image from Getty Images’ Ezra Shaw, which shows the Golden State Warriors star seemingly suspended in mid-air as he celebrates his team’s victory after the final whistle.

Curry, who set an Olympic career record with 36 points, stunned even his Serbian opponents with his size, as captured in this photo by Aytac Unal/Anadolu via Getty Images.

But of course, the best comes last. Curry made nine of his 14 three-point attempts during the game, coming one short of setting the Olympic record for most three-pointers made in a game.

During one of Curry’s long-range shot attempts, photographer Garrett Ellwood captured an iconic image of the All-Star guard firing off his shot while several of his awestruck U.S. teammates reacted in the background. Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards looked up at Curry with faces of pure joy and excitement, Tyrese Haliburton was already starting to prepare for the epic moment, and Bam Adebayo appeared to make the gesture of injecting ice into his veins in honor of one of the coldest shooters of all time.

Here are some close-ups of the now viral moment:

Simply unique greatness captured in a photo.

“I just lost myself in the moment when I understood how big this period is and what’s at stake for this team,” Curry said in a post-game interview. “This is the most fun I’ve had in a long time than anything else. To dig as deep as we did with this group and get a win, that’s something special.”
