John Mulaney confirmed during his appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday that he has married Olivia Munn.
“I got married. Thank you very much. It’s the best,” said Mulaney, 41.
People reported last month that the comedian and the 44-year-old “X-Men: Apocalypse” actress were married at a friend’s house in New York. Their two-year-old son, Malcolm, and a best man were reportedly the only guests at the wedding.
During a conversation with Seth Meyers, Mulaney revealed that his mother-in-law, Kim Munn, was in the audience and he referred to her as “mom.”
When asked how he feels about his in-laws, Mulaney said, “It’s the greatest time of my life.”
“I’ve been in a lot of interesting situations, but marrying into a big Vietnamese family is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done,” he explained. “They’re the best, man.”
“One of them will go everywhere with you,” the former “Saturday Night Live” star continued of his wife’s family. “And they call me John Mulaney – full name. A little wrong. Always full name: ‘Olivia is here with John Mulaney.'”
The comedian mentioned his own “white” family and joked, “Bleach calls us for advice.”
“So we’re uptight about a lot of topics,” he continued. “Money, health, everything – almost everything is taboo. The Luong family will talk about everything as soon as they get to know you. ‘How much money do you have?’ ‘Why are you so thin?'”
Mulaney was married to artist Anna Marie Tendler from 2014 until their separation in May 2021.
A few months before the breakup, Mulaney checked himself into a 60-day rehab clinic for drug abuse. He was addicted at a young age and didn’t get clean until he was 23.
Three months after leaving rehab, sources confirmed that Mulaney was dating Munn.
In June of the same year, they were seen together for the first time, at a lunch in Los Angeles. He later announced that Munn was pregnant and their son, Malcolm, was born on November 24, 2021.
Munn spoke about her romance with Mulaney when she was pregnant.
“It’s definitely nothing new to me when people make false speculations about things and in some ways the rumor mill is running wild,” Munn told the Los Angeles Times about the rumors about the couple and the period in which they got together.
“They think they know our relationship so well,” Munn added. “But in reality, they don’t. There’s no way anyone could know what relationships he’s had or what our relationship is like.”
The “Beyond the Break” actress has previously dated Aaron Rodgers, Bryan Greenberg, Chris Pine and Matthew Morrison.
She was blamed for Rodgers’ estrangement from his family after the two were together from 2014 to 2017.
The 40-year-old NFL star told author Ian O’Connor for his new book, “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers,” that Munn had nothing to do with the family drama.
