Need money? The Democratic Party is now looking for actors in Boise

If you’re an aspiring actor or just need some money, there’s a job for you and casting is happening right here in Boise.

We are in the midst of an election year and things are heating up on all fronts, especially here in the Treasure Valley. The political landscape has become so volatile that some political parties are looking for an advantage they can and will pay for.

Recently we received news that a group supporting the Democratic Party posted an ad on Craigslist looking for actors here in Boise:

For our upcoming advertising campaign, we are looking for talent from all cultures and age groups. Please note that talent must be comfortable passionately discussing current political issues as the script is political in nature.

The group, known as Happy Deomcrars, is offering $225 if you get the job. They even point out that “experience with the teleprompter is helpful but not required.”

They even provide a sample of the script so you can rehearse your lines before auditioning for the ad. One of the lines is:

I constantly panic at the thought that our democracy is going backwards because of Donald Trump and that he may actually return to office. I mean, what is wrong with Americans? It seems like we are suffering from some kind of Trump-induced amnesia. I just don’t get it. There is just so much misinformation and disinformation!

And that’s just a small snippet of what you’ll find in the sample script they created in Google Docs.
