Faye Webster brought her alt-indie vibes to Brown’s Island a few weeks ago, turning the riverfront into a party for the night. She didn’t come alone. Webster came to town with juliea grunge/shoegaze outfit that oozes 90s nostalgia, and Benéta local singer-songwriter whose raw, emotional melodies would be recognizable to anyone who follows the Richmond music scene.

The night was a celebration for music fans, with local photographer Aspen DeRosa Snapshots that perfectly captured the sweat, the fuss and the sound.

And for those who don’t know, Faye Webster, an Atlanta-born singer-songwriter, has made a name for herself with her unique blend of indie and alternative music. She started her career early and self-released her debut album Running and telling at 16. After briefly attending Belmont University, she returned to Atlanta, signed with Awful Records and released her eponymous album in 2017. Webster gained further recognition with Atlanta Millionaires Club in 2019, followed by the critically acclaimed I know I’m funny haha in 2021.

Fast forward to 2024 and their latest, Underdressed at the Symphonyshe tours the world, performs at major festivals and proves that she is here to stay.
