In a new video from WIRED, John Cena and Awkwafina answered the internet’s most frequently asked questions. In a highlight, Cena answered the question: “Who is John Cena in Suicide Squad?”
“I am lucky enough to play a superhero named Peacemaker. The government name is Chris Smith. He is a highly trained assassin. He has been trained in the art of war since childhood,” said Cena.
Cena reprised Peacemaker in a spin-off series about the character. The MAX series “Peacemaker” premiered in January 2022. The eight-episode season finale aired on February 17, 2022.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cena is scheduled to film the second season from June to November 2024. There is currently no information on when the second season will premiere.
