Janhvi Kapoor is currently basking in the success of her recently released film Ulajh. In this context, the actress discussed various issues and spoke about dealing with male egos. She said that she doesn’t think dealing with egos is just an actor’s thing, but a female one.
Speaking to Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor was asked how she deals with male egos in the film industry. Rejecting it is just an actor thing, the actress thinks it is a female thing.
The Ulajh actress said, “I don’t think you as a man have thought about this. I hope that I am not making this girl feel bad with my actions. I know that as a man and a good human being, you know that you don’t want this to happen, right? I don’t want to make anyone feel bad either. But I don’t think you have ever realized that if I hurt her ego, there will be consequences.”
She went on to say that as she went through the script and scenes during her readings for “Ulajh,” she realized what a huge challenge this is for women on a daily basis.
“When you’re in a room full of powerful men and you have something to say that you objectively know makes more sense than anything anyone else is saying, you have to be careful how you deliver it without coming across as a Dedh Shaani,” Janhvi said.
Janhvi Kapoor is currently making headlines with the release of her song “Chuttamalle” from the upcoming film “Devara: Part 1” starring Jr. NTR in another lead role.
On August 7, 2024, Kapoor posted a BTS video on Instagram from the shooting of her song Chuttamalle. She looked stunning in a white outfit while shooting for her scenes. In the caption, Janhvi wrote, “BTS (kiss face emoji). #Devara September 27th.”
Her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya showered praises on Janhvi and said, “Wow, who is this goddess.” Shanaya Kapoor also complimented her with heart-eyes emojis. Bosco Martis, who choreographed Chuttamalle’s dance steps, said, “How cool.”
The cast of Devara: Part 1 includes Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, is slated to release on September 27.
