The Green Bay Packers have one of the youngest and strongest receiver teams in the NFL and an MVP-worthy quarterback in Jordan Love. But with the Packers’ training camp already underway, one of the biggest questions in the NFL this summer is who will be the Packers’ best receiver in 2024.

There is no shortage of options. Jayden Reed, the 50th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, led the team last season in receptions (64), receiving yards (793) and was tied with the team leader in touchdowns (eight). The Green Bay Packers’ preseason victory over the Cleveland Browns put another top candidate in the spotlight.

Dontayvion Wicks, a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, averaged 14.9 yards per reception as a rookie and finished the season with 581 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns while only giving up 58 receiving yards. This season, he’s ready for a bigger role, and his game-opening touchdown in the preseason opener is just a small taste of what he’s capable of.

There are also a lot of people interested in Christian Watson. Injuries derailed a promising start to his career, but the former second-round pick has had some great games. He’s averaged 15 yards per pass catch in his career, including three 100-yard games in 2022. And best of all, Watson may have made a career-changing discovery that could keep him healthy.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur sees five wide receivers who are “interchangeable” as the best pass catchers. Graziano left Packers training camp convinced that Romeo Doubs is the one who could have the biggest impact on the fantasy world in 2024.

“The action point here, however, is this: If there is one Packers receiver you want in fantasy, in my opinion it is Doubs. Several people in the Packers camp have told me that Doubs is the guy who has performed the most consistently well so far and has stood out as Love’s go-to guy in every situation. Any of these guys could potentially help your fantasy team on a given week, but if you are looking for consistent Given the weekly production, it sounds like Doubs could be the target.”

  • Romeo Doubs (NFL.com) stats: 59 receptions, 674 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns, 11.4 yards per reception in 17 games last season

Doubs, 24, entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6’2″ wide receiver played a mediocre role as a rookie, catching 42 passes for 425 yards and 3 touchdowns. With Love at quarterback, Doubs had a small breakthrough last season.

Graziano may be right about Doubs’ chances of becoming the Packers’ most consistent receiver. Love and Doubs have excellent chemistry, the Packers quarterback told reporters on Saturday (Packers.com). A big reason for that is a 47.6 percent catch rate and Doubs’ consistent ability to make difficult catches and run routes as the play was planned.

That’s not to say players like Watson, Reed and Wicks won’t have explosive games. They may be the most physically gifted players on the Packers’ offense. However, consistency and chemistry are important, which could give Doubs an advantage once the regular season begins.
