Fundraiser is Redwing’s most important event of the year
– Redwings Horse Sanctuary will host its 4th Annual Block Party fundraiser on Sunday, September 29th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6875 Union Road in Paso Robles. The event celebrates Redwings’ 33rd anniversary and supports its mission to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected horses. Currently, the sanctuary cares for 84 horses. In 2024, Redwings rescued 14 horses and found new homes for 11, with two adoptions still pending.
The fundraiser, Redwings’ main event of the year, is designed to raise money for the horses’ feeding and medical care while raising awareness of the sanctuary’s mission. The event will feature lunch from Old SLO BBQ Co., live music from Unfinished Business, a glass of wine, beer or soda, and Paradise Shaved Ice and photos from Shoot’n’ Booth Photo Booth. Attendees can meet the horses in the barn and watch a farrier demonstration. There will also be silent and live auctions where VIP tables for eight can be purchased.
Redwings offers tours to the public by appointment, volunteer training opportunities, and welcomes school and service groups. The sanctuary will participate in the Great AGventure at the Mid-State Fairgrounds in October, an agricultural field trip for North County fourth-graders.
Tickets for the September 29 fundraiser are available at www.redwingshorsesanctuary.org or My805Tix.com, and the ticket deadline is September 22.
