This event brought together industry leaders and experts to explore innovative solutions for the green energy transition in Vietnam

The aim of the event was to highlight important progress and promote cooperation among stakeholders committed to sustainability and environmental progress.

It provided a platform for Vietnamese green energy startups Alternō, EBOOST and Stride to showcase their innovative solutions and promote collaboration within the renewable energy industry.

Due to rapid population growth and economic development, Vietnam is facing increasing energy demands.

However, traditional fossil fuels are running out and causing environmental damage, so a rapid transition to renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions is needed.

ASSIST is working with the startups to support this transition by raising awareness of innovative alternative energy solutions and making them more accessible to individuals and businesses. These efforts aim to boost Vietnam’s green energy movement and create a thriving ecosystem for renewable energy startups. The partnerships are supported by P4G.

Alternō’s sand battery technology offers a sustainable and scalable energy storage solution. With its smart charging solutions, EBOOST is quickly being adopted for electric cars, while Stride provides companies with affordable solar panels on their roofs.

“We are excited to showcase the talent and innovation of these Vietnamese startups,” said Aru David, Regional Director of ASSIST Vietnam.

“This event is a platform for them to network with investors and partners while accelerating the development of Vietnam’s green energy industry,” David added.

P4G is a multi-stakeholder initiative that accelerates partnerships in low- and middle-income countries.

P4G contributes to green and inclusive growth by providing grants and technical assistance to young companies to make them investment-ready and supports countries’ climate change transition in the food, water and energy sectors.

ASSIST is an international non-governmental organization focused on capacity building. The aim is to promote sustainable approaches to solving social problems in developing countries, particularly in Asia and Africa.

It follows a process-oriented approach to capacity building aimed at social improvement and sustainable transformation. The aim is to empower the target groups, making them more resilient to social, economic and environmental challenges.

It’s unusual to feel nostalgic when looking to the future. When I first saw an electric rickshaw, I smiled, thinking of the clattering sound of the rickshaws that filled the crowded Indian streets of my youth. New electric models are quickly becoming an increasingly common sight in parts of Southeast Asia that share this tradition of three-wheeled transport.
