Quentin Tarantino won’t watch TOY STORY 4 because TOY STORY 3 is “one of the best movies I’ve ever seen” — GeekTyrant

Quentin Tarantino was recently a guest on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast to talk about a variety of topics. During the conversation, he mentioned Pixar’s Toy history Franchise and stated that he will not watch Tory History 4 Because Toy Story 3 is one of the greatest films he has ever seen.

Tarantino said: “I don’t watch all the cartoons and stuff, but I’m a big fan of the Toy history Trilogy. I think there is only one trilogy that absolutely and completely works, and that is For a handful of dollars, For a few dollars moreAnd The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

He went on to talk about the franchise’s achievements, saying, “It does what no other trilogy has ever done. The first film is terrific, but the second film is so great and takes the whole idea to such a much bigger canvas that it eclipses the first one.”

“And then the third one does the same thing to the second one, and that never really happens. You see this big jump from the first one to the second one, and they don’t really land the third one.”

Tarantino also mentioned the Mad Max trilogy and explained why it was not possible to end the film in such a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome devalued the franchise after The Road Warrior.

Back to Toy historyand what makes the third film of the trilogy so good, he said: “In the case of Toy historythe third one is just great. It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. And if you’ve seen the other two, it’s just amazing.

“But the thing is, they then made a fourth movie three years later or something. I have no desire to see it. They literally finished the story as perfectly as they could, so no, I don’t care if it’s good. I’m done.”

Yes, Toy Story 4 was a good film, but it was definitely a step backwards and didn’t quite reach the bar set by the first three films.

Now we have Toy Story 5 on the way, and as with the fourth installment, I wish the filmmakers luck in trying to reach the level of the original trilogy. I don’t think they will succeed, but we’ll see.

Toy Story 5 Directed and written by Finding Nemo And Wall-E helmet Andrew Stanton.

What do you think about Tarantino’s thoughts on the Toy history Franchise?
