LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Independent publisher Prescription Songs, in partnership with Disruptive Label Publishing, is pleased to announce the recent signing of JAYA. The Nigerian artist, songwriter and producer was welcomed into the company by Prescription Songs Vice President (VP) of A&R Eddie Fourcell, mixes Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B and pop to create music with global appeal.
Inspired by artists like Chris Brown, And Fela Kuti, Jaya’s diverse style embodies the essence of Africa. Starting at a young age, Jaya’s musical journey began as a church drummer and developed into a talented singer. In addition to his singing career, Jaya is a prolific songwriter and shares his skills with renowned African artists such as Asake, RunTown, Tiwa Savage, SkiiBii, Spinallwhich cemented his role in the industry. Jaya was discovered and signed by Robert JuaFounder of Disruptive Label, from a powerful conversation on Instagram.
Since the collaboration, Jaya has had a job at Da Baby’s upcoming album and is currently working on records for Oxlade, RunTown, Lion King 2 and several of Nigeria’s top acts. His versatility as a singer, songwriter and producer enables him to make a significant impact on the Nigerian and global music scene and shed light on Nigeria’s rich musical culture and creative potential.
