A former Playboy Mansion party attendee has recounted her experiences at the infamous event and her experiences as a swimsuit model.
It seems like we keep hearing about Hugh Hefner’s legendary time as owner and founder of Playboy. The success of the lifestyle and entertainment magazine enabled several parties at his iconic Los Angeles mansion.
Meanwhile, Playboy bunnies have come forward and revealed that there were a number of strict rules that had to be followed while staying at the home, which even applied to Hefner’s numerous girlfriends.
But when you sit there and think of the Playboy Mansion, you probably think of the money, the glamorous lifestyle and, of course, sex.

However, a former party attendee commented on the common public opinion about the parties that took place there and shared her experiences from the 90s and early 2000s on Reddit.
She wrote: “In the 90’s, at age 21, I moved from Iowa to LA and worked as a model for a swimwear brand.
Through my job, I was eventually invited to a party at the Playboy Mansion and from then on I went to a few more until I moved in 2002.”
She called the parties “impressive” and then took part in a question-and-answer session on the social media site because she was “happy” to share her experiences.
Were the parties as wild as they looked?
One user asked what happens at these parties and how much of it is actually true. She replied: “The assumption is that it is a drug-fuelled orgy and although I certainly saw sex and drugs at times, most of the time it was just a normal party atmosphere.
“The size of the parties meant that people with such intentions had many places where they could do so without having a large audience.”

What was Hugh Hefner really like?
Another asked what Hugh Hefner – who must have been in his late 60s or early 70s at the time – was really like in person.
The former party guest replied: “I never saw him ‘privately’ because the parties were so big and he was being watched or surrounded by a crowd the whole time.”
“He also went to bed earlier than everyone else, so he wasn’t always there. I only spoke to him a couple of times and it was just a quick hello and a few nice words and then he moved on.”
So a pretty normal guy who probably got tired of partying when he got to 70.
Was there as much sex as people assume?
But with so many people and such a range of personalities at the party, you would also expect that some of them would be on the hunt, trying to find happiness at a Playboy Mansion party.
A third user asked, “Were you often hit on? Was there some expectation of intercourse?”
“I got hit on quite often when I was in a group of women or alone,” she replied, not surprisingly.

The former model added: “When I was talking to a guy, the other guys didn’t really come up to me. I never had sex in the villa, but some guys who spoke to me would try to steer the conversation towards: ‘Are we having sex now or…?'”
She also answered a few other questions and revealed that she wasn’t there for the sex or drugs. She said she went mainly for the friends and because “the food/cocktails were heavenly.”
Another user added that she had never slept with a celebrity and then asked what her craziest memory of the parties was and this was something that completely took her by surprise.
The party guest replied: “When I saw two guys who had been acting really macho and stupid towards the girls all evening having sex in a bathroom,
“I was prepared for some crazy things, but this one keeps on popping out!”
