The search for a new executive director for the Livingston County United Way will begin shortly.
The nonprofit announced that Patricia Sliter (pictured) recently resigned from her post. Officials said, “Her efforts in managing many of the changes implemented over the past nine months are appreciated and the board and staff wish her well in her future endeavors.” Sliter, of Fowlerville, came on board last November.
A press release states that the Livingston County United Way still has a talented core of staff who will work with the board in the coming months to strategically advance support and funding for their partner agencies throughout Livingston County with the same level of success.
Board Chair Katie Pikkarainen told WHMI that they would begin their search in the next few weeks and would continue to have the support of their amazing team. She added that her dedicated team and board would work hand in hand on her 2024 campaign.
Pikkarainen said the campaign is currently underway and they are very excited about the next few months and the period ahead – which includes planning ahead and anticipating the needs of the community – and hope for a successful season.
