A man was reportedly arrested in Las Vegas after allegedly getting into a fatal altercation with another man and then eating his face.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMD) announced in a Press release that on Sunday, April 28, at approximately 4:44 a.m., a physical altercation occurred between two men in front of a store in the Las Vegas Arts District.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who was “unresponsive” and “bleeding from the head.” He was later pronounced dead, police said.

Police said the other man allegedly involved in the fight – 31-year-old Colin Czech – was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that Czech “attacked the victim at some point,” and he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a murder charge, police said.

The LVMD said the Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased man’s name and the cause and manner of death at a later date.

Sources told the Las Vegas Review Journal that Czech had been caught eating the man’s eyeball and ear when police arrived at the scene. According to police documents obtained by KLAS, officers said Czech had “biological material in his hair, mouth and on his clothing” when they found him.

Documents obtained by KLAS show that police received a call reporting that a person had tackled another person to the ground in the area of ​​Charleston Boulevard. Less than an hour later, police received another call reporting that a man had “eaten” another man’s face at a bus stop.

Documents obtained by KLAS show that Czech allegedly told police he was “in and out of consciousness” and awake for “five days straight” because something “took possession of him.”

Czech was originally scheduled to appear in court on Monday, April 29, but the judge determined that he could not appear in court because he was still in the hospital. The judge also ordered that Czech be held in custody without the possibility of bail. Las Vegas Review Journal.
