Poll: A trip to the Jersey Shore is a great way to celebrate Labor Day

It’s one of the most beautiful times of the year. At least on the New Jersey coast.

One of the best ways to celebrate Labor Day weekend is to head to the Jersey Shore. We already know that, but it also got high marks, according to a survey by photo book publisher Mixbook. The survey asked, “If distance were no object, how would Americans from coast to coast spend this iconic holiday?”

And we are on the list.

At number 61 on the list is Jersey Shore Labor Day weekend, which states, “The Jersey Shore comes alive with beach parties, boardwalk activities and live music on Labor Day weekend. Popular spots like Asbury Park, Point Pleasant and Wildwood offer a mix of relaxation and entertainment for the holiday.”

Coming in two spots lower was another New Jersey event: the Boonton Firemen’s Labor Day Parade, which came in at number 63. “The Boonton Firemen’s Labor Day Parade is one of the largest and oldest fire department parades in the state. The event includes marching bands, fire trucks and municipal floats, followed by a carnival and fireworks, making it a beloved local tradition.”

The Labor Day Parade in Los Angeles took first place on the list, followed by the Great Smoky Mountains Labor Day Weekend events in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in second place and the Labor Day Wine Tasting Weekend in Napa Valley, California in third place.
