Guy Fieri looks back on the “wild weekend” when he moved his son Ryder into a college dorm

Guy Fieri is thinking about leaving his son’s house soon after helping his son Ryder move into his college dorm over the weekend.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the celebrity chef and television personality shared several photos and videos from his experiences helping his youngest son, 18, start college life at San Diego State University.

The first image shows Guy Fieri, his wife Lori Fieri, and Ryder Fieri together in Ryder Fieri’s college dorm room. Another video shows Ryder Fieri carrying boxes while walking down what looks like a dorm hallway.

Guy Fieri also shared a time-lapse clip of the trio unpacking and setting up Ryder Fieri’s room.

“It was a wild weekend moving @_ryderfieri into the @sandiegostateuniversity dorms!!,” the Food Network star wrote in the caption. “We don’t fully realize it yet, but not seeing him every day is going to be tough.”

He continued, “He has a cool roommate (named Hunter, oh my god 😂). SDSU is really great and supportive of its students and he’s full of drive. So proud of you, Ryder. Good luck!!”

In addition to Ryder Fieri, Guy and Lori Fieri also have an older son, Hunter Fieri, 29. The couple also raised Guy Fieri’s nephew Jules Fieri, 25, whose mother Morgan Fieri died in 2011.

Ryder Fieri graduated from high school in June. At the time, Guy Fieri shared several family photos from his son’s graduation ceremony on Instagram.

“So proud of @_ryderfieri,” he gushed in the caption. “Wow what an amazing high school career!! 3.7 GPA, 4 years of basketball and senior year of lacrosse. Love you son!”

In an interview with People in May, Guy Fieri said that Ryder Fieri had been accepted to all the universities he applied to.

“Ryder is super excited,” he told the outlet at the time.
