A disturbing Halloween decoration called the “Scary Pepper Creeper” has been banned from stores after a flood of complaints.

The terrifying prop is modeled after Peeping Tom, is designed to be placed in front of a window and shows a hooded man staring into it.

An electronic model is activated by motion and even knocks on the glass three times when a person passes by.

After complaints, the decoration was banned from Canadian stores, but is now available for sale internationally online.

The prop is described as a “realistic prank that attaches to a window to scare people while trick or treating.”

Many people were bothered by the decoration and said on social media that it was “messy”.

“I’m all for scary decorations but this one could be really damaging to some. Many people are stalked at some point in their lives and it can be very hurtful for them and bring back issues like PTSD,” one person wrote on Facebook, The Sun reported.

“I bet there were a lot of phone calls wasting police time because some crazy scary toy turned heads. What is wrong with people who think it’s funny to scare the crap out of people,” said another.

The original prop was removed from Canadian stores in 2016 but has resurfaced.
