Garland Avenue Block Party Promotional Offer
Today, Tuesday, August 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., come to the departments and businesses along Garland Avenue for the first-ever Garland Avenue Block Party. Many of the services along Garland Avenue between Maple and Cleveland will be held together to welcome the University community to the new academic year.
The event includes games, snacks, raffles and giveaways. Stop by and enjoy ice cream at the Sexual & Relationship Violence Center or snacks at the Veterans and Military-Affiliated Student Center. Pick up a wellness kit with Liquid IV, toothpaste and sunscreen outside Walmart. Learn about a special deal on Invisalign at McQueen Dental. Lots of fun games at the Multicultural Center. Ketchup tasting with the international students and scholars and more.
The shops and offices are excited to welcome students back. This is a great opportunity to have fun, learn more about what is available along Garland Avenue on campus, and enjoy time together as a community.
Participants include the Sexual and Relationship Violence Center, Veterans and Military-Connected Student Center, Multicultural Center, Treasury, Bookstore, Counseling and Psychological Services, Wellness Program, Office of International Students and Scholars, McQueen Dental, First Security, and Walmart.
