Tori Spelling And Brian Austin Greens The friendship goes back a long way.

The couple, who Beverly Hills, 90210 They played together from 1990 to 2000 and played the famous love interests Donna and David in the long-running Fox series. At the beginning of the series, the two were also a couple in real life.

Although they now have a close friendship, Spelling and Green were estranged for nearly two decades after Beverly Hills, 90210 The duo spoke about their feud in an episode of Green’s “Oldish” podcast in August 2024.

“I remember our last conversation and the last thing we said to each other 18 years ago. I cried,” Spelling recalled. “I remember crying because we were going to lose touch because we were so close. It was almost like a divorce or something.”

Green added: “I remember (your then boyfriend and our former co-star) Vincent (Young)‘s house to see you several days after filming started and try to keep in touch. But it got to the point where I just never got that from you.”

He continued: “And then I remember that I was at the 90210 DVD release party and you were married to (now separated husband) Dean (McDermott) and I was with (now ex-wife) Megan (Fox) when we were still dating – you came and never said hello to me once. I just kept missing you and then you were gone.”

In an April 2024 episode of her podcast “misSpelling,” Spelling spoke openly about Green being her “first love” and revealed that she had cheated on her then-boyfriend Ryan with Green.

“That was the first guy I dated and he was great, and to be honest, I cheated on him with Brian,” she later told her Beverly Hills, 90210 Co-Star Shannen Doherty“We broke up because I fell head over heels in love with Brian Green.”

She added: “I always say Brian with B was the first love of my life. But I was young and was fascinated by him.”

In an April 2024 episode of her podcast “misSpelling,” Spelling recalled a conversation with Green about her divorce from McDermott, who announced the split in a now-deleted Instagram post in June 2023. Spelling later filed for divorce in March 2024, nearly 18 years after they married.

“No, I was in love. Maybe I wasn’t in love,” she recalled as she told Green about her romance with McDermott, adding, “I’m not sure. No one has broken my heart since you.”

In an August 2024 episode of the podcast “Oldish,” hosted by Green, Burgess, and Tori’s brother Randy SpellingTori and Green said they had lost touch with each other for nearly two decades after Beverly Hills, 90210 ended in 2000.

After explaining to Tori that she didn’t seem interested in maintaining the friendship after the show ended as they started dating other people, Green said that he threw in the towel after one-sided attempts to maintain any kind of relationship with her.

“It was just like she was saying, ‘She just doesn’t want to be my friend.’ That’s really how I felt,” he admitted of their argument. “I tried visiting you and calling you. When that wasn’t reciprocated, I gave up. I didn’t know what was going on in your life.”

Tori explained her side of things, telling Green, “For my part, I lost myself in that relationship again, as I had in previous relationships. That relationship was not a good relationship for me, and toward the end I was tied up and things were not good.”

Tori noted that his relationship with Marcil affected their friendship situation, adding, “It was frustrating to see this relationship from the perspective of a friend who loves someone so much. Seeing what’s going on and how your friend is being treated and not being OK with it. But also knowing that you can’t really say anything because the person has to go through their own experiences and go through their own path.”

Never give up on each other

Although their friendship has faced some difficulties over the years, Green and Tori both stated that they never gave up on each other, even when they weren’t part of each other’s lives.

“My process was different and I shied away from those who would truly fight for me,” Tori said on the “Oldish” podcast in August 2024. “I never stopped thinking about you and never stopped wanting to reach out and reconnect with you.”

Green added: “I showed up anyway. I had come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t a good relationship, but you’re my sister, so there’s no exclusion.”
