BMW is taking in-car entertainment to a new level with the launch of UNO Car Party!, a new edition of Mattel’s classic card game designed specifically for BMW and MINI vehicles. This innovative game, developed in collaboration with Mattel and AirConsole, was unveiled at Gamescom in Cologne and is already available in over 500,000 vehicles.
UNO Car Party! transforms the in-car experience by leveraging AirConsole’s unique technology that allows up to four players to connect their personal devices as controllers. This setup allows passengers to play UNO on the car’s infotainment system, turning routine pit stops into lively gaming sessions. With the game’s accessible design and easy connectivity, it creates a social, interactive break from the road that everyone can enjoy.
Gameplay is seamless: passengers use their smartphones to view their cards privately while the main action takes place on the vehicle’s central infotainment screen. AirConsole CEO Anthony Cliquot highlighted how the game “beautifully illustrates AirConsole’s strengths” by combining accessibility, bespoke integration with the vehicle hardware and a phone-controlled gaming experience.
