First look and plot of Toy Story 5 revealed

Toy Story 5 is in development. A recent first look at the fifth entry in the Pixar franchise reveals the technology-centric plot.




Latest Toy history has received its fair share of updates at Disney’s D23 event. An image posted by DiscussingFilm on X shows some artwork from Toy Story 5The picture shows Woody and his companions observe a child who seems to be too engrossed in his tablet to look in their direction.

Return of franchise regulars

Toy Story 5 Directed by Andrew Stanton, an important writer of the series, whose involvement dates back to the first toy story, in 1995. Stanton also worked on other classic Pixar films, including Finding Nemo, Finding DoryAnd WALL E. Stanton’s long-standing reputation at Pixar is a good sign for many fans.

Toy Story 5 Additionally, Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will return in their roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. In Toy Story 4The characters Slinky Dog, Rex, Hamm, Jessie and Forky were voiced by Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Joan Cusack and Tony Hale.


Toy Story 5 is currently scheduled to be released on June 16, 2026.
