Turkish Airlines Gold Cup: High Goal semi-finals confirmed

It is the final countdown for the Turkish Airlines Gold Cup in Sotogrande. After the matches at the Ayala Polo Club, Los Pinos Grounds on Sunday, August 25The semifinals in the high goal and medium goal have been decided. The semifinalists in the low goal will be announced on Tuesday.

Sunday’s action began with a mid-range goal. Brunei and John Smith opened the fire, with the Bolkiah family lineup in control and scoring the precise goals to maintain the lead. Brunei won 12-6 to finish the league stage in first place, followed by Gabriel Aguirre’s foursome in second place.

Next up was High Goal, the highly anticipated brothers’ duel between Calatagan (Facundo Pieres) and Kazak (Nicolás Pieres). The French quartet got off to a better start, but the locals managed a comeback to take the 15-10 victory.

Next, La Dolfina Dos Lunas and MB Polo faced each other. The latter already had no hope of qualifying for the semifinals due to the result of the previous match, and their rivals needed a win to go to the penalty shootout against Kazak and Calatagan. At the end of the day, MB won 11-8, and it was all over for the Argentine-Spanish team.

The Gold Cup finals will take place on Friday, August 30th (Medium Goal) and Saturday, August 31st (High Goal and Low Goal).
